Cous Cous Fest Hosts Global Culinary Championship in San Vito Lo Capo

Today in San Vito Lo Capo, the Bia Cous Cous World Championship began, a culinary competition at the heart of the Cous Cous Fest, an international festival dedicated to cultural integration. Until Sunday, 10 teams from various countries will compete under the slogan "Grains of peace," emphasizing the message of unity and brotherhood among nations.

This year, teams from China, Eritrea, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Russia, Tunisia, Ukraine, and even a team sponsored by Doctors Without Borders will compete. Francesco Formisano, CEO of Bia Cous Cous, noted that cous cous, a dish symbolizing peace and sharing, is exported to 50 countries and represents a significant symbol of internationalization and sustainability.

The technical jury, chaired by Oscar Farinetti, a successful entrepreneur and founder of Eataly, will be accompanied by a popular jury composed of the public, who can participate by purchasing tickets to taste and vote on the recipes.
